H&M loves Asians

Has anyone else noticed that H&M is having an Asian love affair lately? lol So happy one of my favorite brands is recognizing us Asians as a large part of their demographic!

First, there was the street style video which featured everyday people on the streets of Shanghai, China.

Then... Chinese models Sun Fei Fei and Du Juan grace the Fall/Winter '10 H&M ads

And lastly, they follow around Chinese fashion blogger Susie Bubble as she got ready and attended the Lanvin for H&M fashion show.

Thanks H&M for recognizing us Asians as being fashionable and beautiful, your positive recognition of diversity just makes me appreciate the brand even more! ;D

On another note: Fellow Asian blogger Pop Champagne (love her blog!) is hosting an awesome contest giveaway for the flat iron seen below! Come up with a funny caption for the pic on her blog post and enter to win! Go now! Good Luck! :)

Asian Celeb Inspiration: Fan Bing Bing

Fan Bing Bing (not to be confused with previously featured fashionable Asian Li Bing Bing) is a 29 year old Chinese actress with many talents (she's also a singer) and is truly a fashion icon in China. Bing Bing recently won best actress at the Tokyo International Film Festival and was seen making the rounds at Paris Fashion week this year.

at the Elle Style Awards in Bottega Venetta

in an Elie Saab gown at the Cannes Film Festival, one of my favorite Bing Bing looks! Gorgeous!

with Marc Jacobs at Paris Fashion Week wearing a Louis Vuitton dress

At Bono's Rising Africa charity event

at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival in a dress fit for an empress, this girl knows how to command attention on the red carpet. Some may say she was the worst dressed, but I think this gown is very representative of China and it was definitely very well made.

Is there a dress that doesn't look good on this girl? No wonder all the major designers are throwing their dresses on her...so lucky...
Life and its problems have kept me from blogging on a regular basis but I hope I can get back into the swing of things :) I'm thinking about changing my blog banner, leave me suggestions in the comments section on which fashionable asian I should feature!
Have a great day everyone =)

Award Show Fashion: 2010 Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards

Hey everyone, how's your week going so far? Award season is really heating up in Asia, but this time it's an award show celebrating the best in the beauty industry. But you know me, I like to turn everything into a fashion award show, so here are the results and feel free to let me know if you agree!

Patty Hou looked amazing in this one shoulder Grecian style dress

Gao Yuan Yuan in a fabulously chic sequined gown. I love sequins and how they can make a girl sparkle without turning into a vampire ;P haha
Angie Chiu shined in this beaded white dress
Vivian Chou in a dress that was perfect for her body type

Vivian Wu channels Barney the purple dinosaur, not a very exciting dress but the knot in the middle gives a little extra something
Stefanie Xiao in a dress that reminds me of something Gwen Stefani would wear or create for LAMB
Qi Wei, too much (p)leather, with the pants, shoes, glove and belt; all she needed to do was edit.
Makeup artist Kevin with Taiwanese singer Landy Wen
I really like Athena Chu's statement necklace
Charlie Yeung in Pink Panther pink!
Sun Li has too much of a boyish figure to pull off a dress, especially one with such messy ruffles
Yi Neng Jing...Oh dear, this is what happens when a designer has extra fabric lying around, it ends up on the dress when it shouldn't.

I think Jia Qing may have missed her dress fitting because the top looks way too big for her; it looks very sloppy.

Asian Celeb Inspiration: Li Bing Bing

I never got to introduce the lovely lady in my blog
banner above.
That, my dears, is 34 year old Chinese actress Li Bing Bing. You may recognize her as the White Witch in a little film called The Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan and Jet Li. She's got one of the nicest smiles and looks great in every single designer dress that's thrown on her. I have major body envy... haha

Looking glamorous in Vogue China magazine

Unveiling her wax figure with Andy Lau at the Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong last month
Can you tell which is the real Bing Bing?

at the Dior Show in well, Dior, duh
Bing Bing in between Carina Lau and Andy Lau promoting their film Detective Dee
promoting energy saving at the World Expo in a lush white trench
Posing for the media in Venice

Bing Bing at the 2010 Venice Film Festival Photocall and Premiere, looking stunning in a unique twist on the LBD (little black dress) and in a beautiful evening gown with beaded Chinese calligraphy.

Promoting the World Expo in Shanghai with what I like to call the Toothpaste Man ;P

Now that you guys have been acquainted with the lovely Bing Bing, I hope you will show your support and watch some of her movies, she's a really great actress! Earlier this year she worked on a film called 'Snow Flower and The Secret Fan' co-starring Hugh Jackman, (which had originally casted Zhang Ziyi, but she dropped out of it).
